HIGH IP RATING The Latest EN54:11 standard stipulates an ingress rating of IPX3 as suitable for outdoor call points. However in real installations this may not be sufficient, particularly if a product is exposed to excessive weather conditions. To ensure the product deals with any weather/outdoor applications it must be truly ’waterproof’ with IP67 ingress protection.
EN APPROVED The new compact design ensures EN54:11 approval to all major European approval bodies (LPCB, VdS, BOSEC) requirements.
FASTER INSTALLATION Plug in terminations bring faster wiring and a hassle-free first fix option. Simply bring the field wiring to the terminal block. The WCP plugs straight on to the loop. There is less cable to cram into the back box, minimising any chance of damage. The installers cabling time is reduced and a loop continuity device means you can check out all of the wiring with ease.
FLEXIBLE MOUNTING OPTIONS Three 20mm knockouts in the product mounting box ensure that the outdoor products cater for all surface mounting installation applications. The new WCP housing has an increased area for cabling compared to our previous World Series IP67 product.
SNAP ON FIT The front housing of the outdoor product has a simple ’snap on’ fit to the mounting box. No additional time is required for locating screws.
SIMPLE TEST AND RESET The combined test, reset and lid release facility means only one tool is needed for maintenance. The same tool will also test the existing range of KAC call points so you don't need to carry a variety of different keys. The new call point, once installed, cannot be tampered with. If the lid of a device is removed without isolation from the panel, the alarm will sound. The lid fixing is also now designed to be more secure. The special WCP tool is needed to release the lid as required in EN54-11.
EASY CHANGE OF OPERATING ELEMENT A WCP EN54-11 break glass can quickly become an EN54-11 resettable WCP. A resettable WCP can easily be converted back to a break glass. With the new design it only takes a change of operating element. The solution is simple and low cost. So much easier than changing the product or adding springs and additional parts.
THE NEW WCP FROM KAC OFFERS EVEN BETTER PERFORMANCE... The new call points are EN54 compliant in any format. The WCP design is ready to meet specifications for both break glass and resettable call point options. KAC continue to offer customer branding within the guidelines of EN54-11. All components can be housed on a single PCB. An OEM cradle has been designed to offer more surface area than the existing MABC component.
